possible X bug w/ nVidia 96.43.05 driver +slack 12?
It installs nicely, image is crisp, glxgears shows just under 1000fps, nvidia controls work BUT... when I end my kde session, the screen goes to black, Nothing of this sort shows up at linuxquestions or the nvidia forums. Googling tells me I can get the best prices on "X fails to reset" at Bizrait and eBuy.

Nvidia Bug ?
Haqsau haq...@planetquake.com rec autos simulators I have an ATI Radeon, so it is definitely not an nvidia bug. This is purely a bug, possibly with nvidia cards. If you switch to 800x600 the game will play fine but it doesn't look nearly as good. That's why I'd like to find a fix for this.

HELP! (TNT1 Nvidia bug)
The latest beta drivers from Nvidia have fixed all the transparency problems with CM and Windows XP (at least for me). They are version 27.10 and can be found at www.3dchipset.com There was talk of making sure you removed the old drivers before installing the new, so be sure to do so. And enjoy.

To download and install the drivers, follow the steps below: STEP 1: Review the NVIDIA Software License. You will need to accept this license prior to downloading any files. When emailing linux-b...@nvidia.com, please attach an nvidia-bug-report.log, which is generated by running "nvidia-bug-report.sh".

possible X bug w/ nVidia 96.43.05 driver +slack 12?
Not not a runaround, NVIDIA doesn't offer support to consumers. Unless you're part of developer relations then there's no direct avenue. Are you sure it's an NVIDIA bug? Have you taken care to reproduce it independent of the system configuration? Can you reproduce the bug under all circumstances?

possible X bug w/ nVidia 96.43.05 driver +slack 12?
I am not sure, maybe I should file a bug somewhere in the 'nv', 'nvidia' driver area. However, this bug seems to trigger with xfce4 only. Given you can't reproduce it with the nv driver, you're probably best off talking to upstream via: http://bugzilla.xfce.org (feel free to mark this bug as forwarded there when

I have been all over the NVidia website and can't find anyway to report a fault with the latest drivers (52.16). Anyone out there know how to do this. I would have though that NVidia would welcome any customer feedback. The fault I have is that the knee pad in FS2004 won't scroll when AA is set for 2X or quincunx.

Michel Sorry it's taking so long to fix this bug. This is because what I want to do is have the Python script check for the existence of this setting using apt-config, and also supply an option so proxy settings can be supplied manually. I haven't had time to look into this in more detail.
