I've tested this on an i386 machine, yet I ensured I could get the x86_64 package manually by using the same link from the update-nvidia-cg-toolkit script. Well, I can't! Pointing the web browser to this: http://developer.download.nvidia.com/cg/Cg_2.0/2.0.0010/ I get a "File not found." message.

Am I wrong in saying this is a BUG ?? /Anders Modén I really couldn't say if this is a bug in the implementation or in your code. Perhaps your "large" polygon offset is too large? In the wrong direction? Note that setting the depth mask to false still allows the testing of the depth values, but disabling the depth

weird crash caused by nVidia RAVE drivers?
There should already be a file nvidia-something in that directory with the necessary alias entries (at least if you installed the nvidia driver from the Debian packages), If memory serves me (still) well, I had problems with the Debian package and installed the one directly from NVIDIA.

(however, there is still a bug that exists to this day, where if UT is run from a fullscreen DOS prompt, when FSAA is enabled, the framerate is *MUCH* higher, more than double, than when it is run from the windows desktop ! only affects FSAA but not AF. Unknown if this is a UT or Nvidia bug.

Bug#465174: module-assistant doesn't compile nvidia for kernel 2.6.24
I still don't know if it is really a NVidia bug (as we don't have all source code) or a kernel bug. I use the 2.4.24 as Mandrake one freeze too and 2.4.24 is more stable on my pc. ;( I could not get anything usefull on my monitor (simply a few blue lines at the bottom of the screen) after installation of MDK 9.2.

Yes; the whole story is this: [installed udev] Maybe in that case the alias entries in /etc/modprobe.d/ and /etc/modules.conf don't work anymore, try to add nvidia to /etc/modules. Done and works. This is not an NVIDIA bug. . Windows XP/2000: Clone mode may be set for the GeForce FX 5600 although only one display is connected. This setting causes a drop in the performance of 3D applications. The workaround is to use the NVIDIA control panel to reset the system to standard mode from clone mode.
